Gina Wu Lee, Founder

Gina is a passionate advocate for the adoption of the Circular Economy and believes strongly in the power of collaboration and innovation to create change.

Gina has over 15 years of experience working in Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Impact in the United States, China, and Germany.  Her past roles include overseeing partnerships with Fortune 500 corporations and top-tier business schools for the Aspen Institute, working with the Schwarz Group in materials management, and leading programming and corporate relations for Mercy Corps Beijing. She is skilled in engaging with organizations from across the policy, government and private sector and has managed workshops and pilot programs with organizations including TATA, the American Sustainable Business Council, and the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator.

Gina has a BA in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School.   She believes that social entrepreneurs will change the world and is a judge for the Echoing Green Fellowship Program and a Mentor for the Mentor Capital Network.

Amir Banifatemi, Advisor

Amir is an entrepreneur, investor, and innovation catalyst.  Amir is committed to unleashing the power of technology to create positive social change. 

Amir is the managing partner of K5 Ventures, and leads initiatives on the transformation of society and the new economy such as Artificial Intelligence initiatives with the XPRIZE foundation, the AI for Good Summit with the United Nations-International Telecommunications Union, and the impact of new Data Commons within the European Union. He has managed two venture capital funds and continues to support and advise companies with a focus on frontier technologies.

Amir holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology of Compiègne, a Doctorate in System Design and Cognitive Sciences from the University Paris Descartes, as well as an MBA from HEC Paris.

Wei Dong Zhou, Advisor

Wei Dong is the founding Executive Secretary-General for the Alliance of Green Consumption and Green Supply Chain (GCSG), a joint initiative of China’s Environmental Certification Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the China Environmental United Certification Center.  Wei Dong also serves as the Chief Advisor for The Sustainability Consortium in China.

Wei Dong Zhou is a passionate believer in the power and responsibility of businesses to effect social change.  As BSR's founding China General Manager, Wei Dong established the China offices in Beijing and Guangzhou, providing advice and counsel to BSR's member companies and their sustainable supply chain partners for 8 years. In addition to his leading role with BSR, Wei Dong also possesses extensive cross sector experience.  He has over 20 years of experience in the Chinese government, non-profit, philanthropy, state and multi-national private sector industries.  

Wei Dong holds a BA from Qingdao University of Science & Technology in Machinery Engineering and a MA in Asian Business Studies from the University of London (SOAS).
